Fantasy Football TE Rankings Week 14 Who to start best sleepers at tight end
Blog Article
The fantasy football regular season is almost over, but owners are still dealing with byes. You'd think with just two teams off, our Week 14 fantasy TE rankings for standard leagues wouldn't be affected much, but two potential starters are out. Moreover, several key tight ends are still dealing with injuries, which could force owners to hunt for sleepers and waiver-wire streamers. The good news is there are enough decent TEs to go around in 12-team leagues. As we know, this position is always volatile, so there are bound to be some disappointments, but between steady targets and strong matchups, the TE outlook is relatively strong despite the byes and injuries. Now that we know the backdrop for this must-win week, let's break down our Week 14 TE rankings. Week 14's two-team bye didn't look like anything to worry about at the beginning of the season, but with the Commanders (Logan Thomas) and Cardinals (Trey McBride) off, two legit starting options are taken off the board. WEEK 14 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | The good news is both the Commanders and Cardinals have above-average TE defenses, so there are fewer bad matchups to go around. WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | Travis Kelce (vs. Bills in Week 14), T.J. Hockenson (@ Raiders), Sam LaPorta (@ Bears), David Njoku (vs. Jaguars), and Dalton Kincaid (@ Chiefs) make up our top five. LaPorta and Njoku both square off against defenses that entered last week in the top 10 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) allowed to TEs, while Kelce, Hockenson, and Kincaid are simply ultra-consistent, high-ceiling options. George Kittle (vs. Seahawks) remains a "must-start" despite Derrick Coleman Jersey falling out of the top five. He didn't do much against the Seahawks in Week 12 (three catches, 19 yards), but we know he's always capable of a monster game in any matchup. WEEK 14 FANTASY ADVICE: | | | Taysom Hill (vs. Panthers) doesn't have a great "tight end" matchup this week, but the Panthers remain one of the worst run defenses Seattle Seahawks Women Jersey in the NFL, Considering all the damage Hill does on the ground, he's a virtual "must-start" this week. The same is true for Isaiah Likely (vs. Rams), who was noticeably involved in his first start in Week 12 and now gets a matchup against a Rams' defense that entered last week allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to TEs. Cole Kmet (vs. Lions) and Jake Ferguson (vs. Eagles) also have above-average matchups this week and deserve to be started in 10-team leagues. Ditto for Kyle Pitts (vs. Buccaneers) in 12-team leagues. Going deeper, Gerald Everett (vs. Broncos), Tyler Conklin (vs. Texans), and Cade Otton (@ Falcons) all have top-five matchups and have shown they can come through in such situations. Brevin Jordan (@ Jets) is also in a good spot if Dalton Schultz (hamstring) remains out, and PPR leaguers can consider Tanner Hudson (vs. Colts) in another highly favorable matchup. WEEK 14 DFS: | | | Dallas Goedert (@ Cowboys) could return from a forearm injury this week, but he'll be a risky option if he's back. He's the type of TE who can produce in any matchup, but Dallas is slightly above average at defending TEs. Goedert posted 50 yards on three catches against the Cowboys in Week 9 before exiting with the injury, so it's certainly po sible for him to come through, but check all your options before blindly starting him. The same goes for Evan Engram (@ Browns), who gets steady targets but is yet to have a big game this season. No one gives up fewer FPPG to TEs than the Browns, so Engram is very risky this week, at least in standard leagues. Pat Freiermuth (vs. Patriots) is also in a tough spot this week against a Patriots' defense that entered last week allowing the fourth-fewest FPPG to TEs. Dallas Goedert (forearm), Dalton Schultz (hamstring), and Darren Waller (hamstring) will all need to be monitored in Kenny Easley Jersey practice this week. Schultz (@ Jets) is a must-start if he plays, and Waller (vs. Packers) would also be a consideration given his high ceiling. Tyler Higbee (head, hand) was banged up last week and is no sure thing to play this week, but neither he nor any of L.A.'s backups is a viable starting option against the Ravens this week. Check back for the latest updates to our standard TE rankings throughout the week. Rank Player 1 Travis Kelce, Chiefs vs. Bills 2 T.J.
